Sustainable Identity on Every Thing

Sustainable Identity Generator for Every Thing

QSeq mints Barcodes, QR Codes and Data Matrix carriers for SGTINs, GS1 Digital Links and EPC URIs — with print-true physical-size calculation. Generate in the browser, or download the native, signed macOS and Windows builds from the same core.

Standards-first

SGTIN, EPC Tag URI and GS1 Digital Link encoders that follow the standards — including GTIN → SGTIN serialization via AI 21. Correct by construction.

Print-true

A live physical-size calculator, mm / inch / vernier rulers, and PNG exports carrying a pHYs chunk so print software reads the true physical size — exact at your chosen DPI.

Yours to fork

Every label's parameters export as JSON, and QSeq is source-available under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 — inspect it, audit it, build on it.

The defining feature

A live physical-size calculator

QSeq shows the printed outer perimeter as a function of the centre logo dead-space, the byte count, the printing resolution (DPI) and the error-correction level. Change any input and the true printed size updates — so the label you design is the label that comes off the press.

What you can design

1D, 2D, combined, or a whole serialized sheet

1D codes

Linear barcodes — GS1-128 and friends — rendered with human-readable text and correct quiet zones.

2D codes

QR Code and Data Matrix at selectable symbology and error-correction levels.

Combined labels

Pair a GS1-128 with a QR or Data Matrix on one label, for scanners that read either.

Serialized sheets

A whole A4 / US Letter / A3 / US Legal page — or a flexographic continuous web — of sequentially-numbered codes, with a full log of every encoded link.

Every knob you need

Controls

GS1 data input
Enter the GS1 application identifiers; QSeq validates against GS1/EPC rules.
GTIN length
8, 12, 13 or 14 digits.
Serial formats
GS1 Digital Link, GS1-128, and SGTIN variants.
Resolvers
Point each Digital Link at a resolver — including a built-in QDat.io preset.
2D symbology
QR or Data Matrix with a selectable error-correction level.
Resolution & size
Dial in DPI and dimensions with mm / inch / vernier ruler overlays.

Damage-tolerant by design

A structure-aware logo dead-space respects the symbol's error-correction budget and never erases its finder, timing or alignment patterns — so your brand mark survives the scan.

Resolves on QDat.io

A SKU names a kind of thing. QSeq names the thing.

A bare, class-level GTIN names a kind of thing, not a thing. QSeq serializes everything and lets you point each GS1 Digital Link at a resolver — including a built-in QDat.io preset that rewrites the domain to tapdpp.qdat.io, so a code minted in QSeq resolves spatiotemporally on QDat.io's Digital Product Passport module.

Sustainable by material

What's EcoCir?

QSeq mints the identity; EcoCir is the sustainable ink it's printed with. EcoCir is Meerv's ink for Sustainable Identity in both of its forms — the same family of chemistry that prints the conductive RAIN antenna also lays down the visual 1D and 2D codes QSeq generates. So a print-true GS1 Digital Link isn't only correct and exactly sized — it's laid down on a sustainable substrate with a sustainable ink, from the production line to the recycling line.

Why the name

A quality-assured, ordered, resolvable sequence of identity codes

QSeq folds several meanings into four letters: Q for quality factor, time quanta, queue, cue — and QR. Together: a quality-assured, ordered, resolvable sequence of identity codes.

Built to be the same everywhere

One core, three platforms

Web

Runs in any browser at qseq.app — written in Dart from the same core as the native apps, so a web-minted identity is byte-for-byte the desktop one.

macOS

Native build for Apple silicon — signed and notarized.

Windows

Native x64 build — download and run.

Sister product

QRPic

QRPic is an Android companion that measures a logo's impact on a QR code's error-correction budget — so you know how much brand mark a symbol can carry before it stops scanning. Released under the MIT License.
